Office Hours
The school office will be open during the summer
with limited hours. Please call the office at
954-434-3887 before visiting us. Thank you.
Report Card Pickup
Report cards for students in grades 1 - 7 are available for pick up in the school office. Please be sure to mark your
calendar and stop in to see us.
Principal's Message
We had much
success and many accomplishments this year at Saint
Mark Catholic School. As we end this academic year,
I wanted to share some of my thoughts and
impressions of the 2009-2010 school year.

Broward County Math Competition
We had many of our middle school students compete in this
year's Broward County Math Competition. Our 8th grade team
placed 3rd, the Algebra team placed 3rd and our 7th grade team
placed 2nd. Anthony Coniglio, in 7th grade, placed 2nd in the
individual category and Brianna Valdes, in 8th grade, placed 3rd
in the individual category. Congratulations to all the students
who participated. They did a great job!
Art Winners
Mrs. Carol Powell, our Art Teacher at Saint Mark for the past 6
years, entered some of our students' art work in the Everglades
Eyes art contest for the town of Davie. Congratulations to
Elissa Lara, Coleman Nelson, Natalia Rodriguez and Emily Suero
for placing in this contest. They were recognized at the Davie
Town council meeting on Wednesday, April 21st. Thank you Mrs.
Powell for your artistic influence on the students at Saint
Mark. You are a treasure.
St. Mark’s young scientists take state honors
Earn second and third places at State Science and Engineering
Fair.

Saint Mark Awarded $500 for Recycling
Our school was awarded $500 for finishing in second place our of 98 schools
last semester.
We are continuing to collect used ink jet cartridges and old cell phones. Please drop these items off at the office. Thank you for your support

Terracycle
Recycling Project
Saint Mark Catholic School has signed up with TerraCycle, Inc. to collect
juice pouches from Capri Sun, Kool- Aid, Honest Kids and other brands. We
will receive 2 cents each for Capri Sun, Kool Aid and Honest Kids and 1 cent
for any other pouches not listed. Please drop off your empty juice pouches
in the school office. Thank\ you for your help with this fundraiser.
