Shriley
Sandusky, Principal
Dear Parents,
We had much success and
many accomplishments this year at Saint Mark Catholic
School. As we end this academic year, I wanted to share
some of my thoughts and impressions of the 2009-2010
school year.
I believe Saint Mark
excels in most every area. We are A School to Believe
In, and we have the potential to be even better. Our
goals remain the same . . . to provide an excellent
Catholic education and assist our students and families
in becoming more fully devoted followers of Jesus Christ
through stewardship, fellowship and Eucharist.
I pray that we continue
to move forward in striving for excellence in all that
we do. I pray we learn to be more forgiving as we move
forward with boldness and passion as we reach out to
others, spread the Good News of Jesus, and learn how to
put our faith in action.
There are so many people
to thank for this past year. Those who tirelessly
volunteer, contribute and support some or all of our
endeavors. Whether it was coordinating the used uniform
sale (we will miss Mrs. Stampler), working endlessly in
carline, monitoring the lunch area, creating our
wonderful yearbook, grading the Sunshine Math papers,
assisting with WSMCS, choir and band, chess club,
athletic activities, the media center, computer lab,
room parents, the FSA and the list goes on and on. I
thank everyone who has given of their time, talent and
treasure to improve our school. We could not possibly
operate without the support of our families who give
with a generous and loving heart.
Saint Mark Catholic
Church and Saint Mark Catholic School remain united in
teaching as Jesus did by example. It is our goal to
continue to grow in harmony as we seek ways to be one
family. Our students continue to shine and represent
Saint Mark in a positive Christian manner in
extra-curricular activities and in and around our
community. Whether it is in the area of sports, music,
service, math and/or spelling competitions or
participating in a liturgy, our students show that they
are truly representative of our Christ centered faith.
We continue to pray for
our 64 recent 8th grade graduates as we know
they are well prepared for high school and ready for a
new and exciting chapter of their lives. We say
good-bye and good luck to our students and faculty that
are not returning or are relocating. We thank you for
your patience and understanding. I pray that we
continue together and use the many gifts and
opportunities God has blessed us with.
There are many challenges
ahead of us as we continue to seek out His path for our
lives. Saint Mark Catholic School is a great place to
be. Have a beautiful summer thank you for your
continued love and support of the administration of our
school. Have fun.. read.. relax
pray.
Love and blessings,
Mrs. Shirley R. Sandusky
