Shriley Sandusky, Principal

Dear Parents,

Vacation is about to be a memory!  Hopefully you enjoyed the summer break, your time together with many family activities.  As parents we know activities introduce children to experiences that spark their interest and expand their goals for what they hope to accomplish in school and in the future.

As Catholics we believe we will be resurrected, but for now I want to live my life and not waste a minute of it.  I’ve endured!  I’ve survived!  Over the years, as I have gradually watched my “new horizons” appear at every turn, I have not neglected acknowledging the gifts I have been given from God, including my children and grandchildren.  I continue with the passion and enthusiasm I have for Catholic education, and most especially, the families entrusting their precious children to Saint Mark Catholic School.

This year brings much anticipation and excitement to all of us.  Research shows that a good Catholic school must have a “sense of community”.  This is evidenced in all the aspects that make us who we are.  Many of our parents are products of Catholic education.  It was a different time.  Today, safety and security take on a priority and a totally different perspective.  Your cooperation with our safety plan is expected and needed, this includes our car line and keeping our doors secured.

We are in the final stages of our School Improvement Plan for continued accreditation. Our playing field has been a work in progress, our faculty and staff are a blessing to all of us and the good work that the ministries and people of our parish do with us, and for us, never ceases to amaze me.  If you didn’t notice, the flags are standing straight in carline!!

Thank you Men of Saint Mark.

I welcome you and thank you for your love and support personally, and in our school community.  If you have questions or concerns regarding our school, please do not hesitate to call me.  I look forward to another school year, and the faculty readily awaits your visit on Back to School night.  Go Lions!

Thank you for all you do for us at Saint Mark Catholic School.  God bless you.

Yours in Catholic Education,

Mrs. Shirley R. Sandusky

Principal
